I realize I am few days late, but things have been a little hectic!

In Literature 9 we used the day to review our vocabulary words. We had quite a few activities on a SMART board presentation. It was fun. We also took notes over persuasion. We will continue to discuss persuasion in the weeks ahead.

In English 10 we started to set up the perimeters for our pro-con debate. Now that the persuasion test is done, it's time for that last speech. Partners were assigned and research began (on procon.org). The next two days will be set aside for research.

In American Literature we finished up our discussion of The Scarlet Letter. We analyzed the text for allegories and symbols. I love the fact that this book is about 1642 and yet the subject matter is so relevant today. We will take a quiz during our next class period.

In Law we are discussing the structure of the legal system. We completed a mediation and arbitration activity. Not all conflicts need to end up in court. It was fun to watch how "into" some of the students got.
