It seemed like a lot of us were in very good moods today. I think the fact that it's Friday and the weather is awesome (and is supposed to be awesome all weekend) makes for some happy Mustangs.
In Literature 9 we exchanged our quizzes for "The Leap". Then we played some Kahoot. I am constantly amazed how much fun everyone has with this game. We then took our quiz (The Sniper and The Leap). Everyone is supposed to look up the words for "Cask of the Amontillado" and using an index card write down three facts related to Edgar Allan Poe (pg. 58).
In English 10 we started working with recording our books. Lexi and Karissa came up with a great way to get this done. They went to Pixect and took pictures of each page. Then they dumped those pictures into Windows Movie Maker. After the pictures are there, you can record narration. If you need to give yourself additional time because the picture goes too fast, that is in video editing - duration. Everyone's recording needs to be uploaded to their G-Drive by classtime.
In American Government we discussed current events, which can be frustrating - not the people, the topics. There is so much evil and chaos in the world. Then we too played a little Kahoot in class. Finally the groups got together to share the information they researched on their particular countries (developed, developing, and underdeveloped). On Monday we will work with the UN Directive with presentations on Wednesday.
Enjoy this beautiful word as I heard an ugly word on the future weather predictions - "snow" for next week. Granted it's not in our area, but to even hear that in the futurecast is mind-numbing.
