OK, so I'm going on a rant! Why is so hard to follow directions? I usually write them out, provide a directions worksheet, and read them verbally for everyone to hear. Yet today was a day where people constantly asked about "Where do I put this file?" "How did you want this done?" Augh, it was frustrating!
In Literature 9 we finished our unit test. We also reviewed the Expand Your Vocabulary for "The Interlopers". At the end of the class period, we looked at a project entitled "A One-Pager." Here we discussed how to visually present our short story. I changed #4 to "Find one simile, metaphor, and personification. Graphically present each." You will receive most of tomorrow's class period to finish.
In English 10 we spent most of the class period recording our two-minute excerpt from our independent reading novel. I realize there is some background noise, but that's understandable. Don't be too picky - we're listening to you. We can ignore the outside noise.
In American Government, we uploaded our "Rags to Riches" assignment to Google. For some, this was new - find the file, right-click, and look for move. Then move your file to the proper folder. We then shared the interesting things we learned about these billionaires. Another quick discussion we had was about government regulation in the workforce - employees, buildings, equipment, and zoning requirements. It's mind-blowing, how much the government is involved in our lives. We didn't have a lot of time, but we did manage to discuss private enterprise, the free market system, and supply and demand. With that, I distributed an article about small businesses in the United States. Please take time to highlight all the statistical data shared. Also for homework, watch the short video on socialism (the link is on Moodle). Don't forget that current events are due on Friday (we'll have our discussion on Monday).
Whew, what a day! I'm ready to relax at home for the first time in a few days. Relax ha! I have laundry to do.
