Today I jumped from one thing to another. I guess that is the story of my life. To be honest, it's probably one of the things that keep me healthy. If I sat too long in one place, I'd probably just eat myself to death.
In Literature 9 we started our second unit. We begin with talking about the Magi (three kings) found in the Christmas story. Then we compared Saki (from "The Interlopers" to O. Henry. We discovered that they truly had a lot in common. Then using an audio version, we listened to the story "The Gift of the Magi." I'm not sure how far fifth hour got as I had to teach the ACT prep course. We will continue to work with the story next week.
In English 10 we reviewed the concepts of subject/predicate. We went over our homework assignment, then we took our quiz. Finally we started discussing our project for Story Corps. For Monday everyone should have their individual chosen and then look for 10 questions they might ask. Also I collected their notebooks.
In American Government we reviewed the key concepts studied in the first unit. We took a few minutes to look at a graphic that summarized all the concepts. Then we played a game entitled "Kahoot". This was a review of the economic systems found throughout the world. Look at the graphic file posted below for any help. Remember also that your essay is due by the end of the day.
Tomorrow is Speech Camp! I'd love to see as many of you as I could. Remember to sign up so I know how much food to make/bring.
