I'm back in the saddle again! I loved my time with Tate, but it's good to get back to a routine.
In Literature 9 we discussed for quite sometime about Tom Robinson "The Invisible Man". For over ten chapters we've heard about him, but it wasn't until Chapter 20 that we actually get to "see" him. We discussed the four elements of characterization - what a character looks like, does, says, and what others say about them - and then analyzed the character of Tom Robinson. We then filled in our chart on the evidence a jury needs to consider. We took our Chapter 19 Check. We ended class discussing the Honorifics assignment. We'll try to get caught up tomorrow.
In English 10 we corrected our assignment on subject/verb agreement (compound subject). We then read Act IV, Scene 1. Everyone is supposed to read Scene 2 and there will be a check tomorrow.
In American Government we played Kahoot - Congress. It was a review of all the information presented so far. Some did really well, while others were a little lost. We then took our 5-2 and 5-3 Quiz. I hope with the review all did well. We'll study the committee system briefly on Friday. This is where I can't let trivial pursuit take over.
In Law they watched the last 10 minutes of the movie. We discussed, and then started a trial of our own. We will finish that up and tomorrow have a quiz over Chapter 5-2.
See you Thursday!
