Have you ever had one of those days where you're just happy? That is me today. I'm walking on sunshine...(those old enough can sing along!)
In Literature 9 we started a Point of View Workshop. Then we reviewed the words related to the story "Sweet Potato Pie". In groups of three they completed some reading comprehension questions related to this sweet (sweet) story. Get it? It's a play on the title.!
In English 10 we reviewed complements: predicated adjective, nominatives, and direct/indirect objects. Then we watched a speech of introduction. Finally we finished up our requirements for this quick 2-3 minutes speech. Hopefully everyone will rehearse.
In American Literature we discussed epic novel Moby Dick. We had a Herman Melville presentation, and then we started our discussion of this classic novel. I really enjoy teaching literature - especially great literature, so these classes were fun for me.
So many of you have sniffles, coughs, and generally look awful. No offense. But if you are sick, please stay home! We're passing around a lot of flu here at GLR, and we need to find some way to nip it in the bud.
