Whew, a speech season almost done, just state to go. I can see the end, and I can't believe that I made it through another season. Now maybe I can get caught up on grading and other "schooly" activities.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of Chapter 5. We took a check over the reading, reviewed the vocabulary (most had it done!), and discussed how Dill was the instigator. Tomorrow we're going to have a quiz (more in depth than the checks) over Chapters 1-5. Hopefully, everyone will be a little more awake than they were today.
In English 10 it was test day. We took a test over Persuasion and Parliamentary Procedure. I sent out a remind yesterday, but I still got the feeling that a lot of people really didn't study. I hope that the scores reflect a little bit better than what their body language is portraying.
In American Government - it was "How a Bill becomes a Law" Day. On Wednesday it is my hope to start a simulation of the committee stage. It's my first attempt at this type of simulation (more of a focus on lobbyists and special interest groups), so I hope it's successful.
In Law we reviewed a "law packet". It discussed the difference between the state and federal courts. We didn't have a lot of time, but we did discuss the Supreme Court a bit. That we'll save for tomorrow.
All in all a good day. I hope the snow stays away!
