A C-O-L-D Monday! I'm definitely not ready for the frigid temps that can be thrown at us during this season.
In English 10 we finished with the demonstration speeches. We reviewed the speech writing process (which is also their essay question for their upcoming test). We will be moving on with subject/predicates as well as vocabulary. Then it will be marching on to the next speech - a six to eight minute informative.
In American Literature we reviewed federalism with a little quiz. Then we introduced the various powers held by our government (expressed - also called delegated or enumerated, implied, and inherent powers). We also discussed powers denied our government. It sound pretty boring even to me. Then we went on to the worksheet that has the powers of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. And we get to COLOR!!! Yellow for the legislative branch, blue for the executive, and red for the judicial. If there is a person icon, write down the name of that individual.
In Literature 9 we tried our best to finish "The Most Dangerous Game." We have a little way to go in seventh hour, but we should be able to make up time tomorrow. We will finish this story tomorrow, and then complete the vocabulary assignment that goes with it.
See you soon!
