Well, time got away from me - wait I think I use that excuse a little too much. Thursday we got out early, so lessons are quite a bit off in the afternoon. On Friday we had Homecoming games so the afternoon courses will need to catch up.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of "Cask of the Amontillado". We had a chance to review the vocabulary, watch Flocabulary's version of the story, and also discuss the use of mood and suspense.
In English 10 both classes had the chance to take their Persuasion Quiz, but first hour had a little more time to work on their speech. It's a bigger class, so it will take us an extra class period or two to hear all the speeches, but it sort of even's out since we have an early out on Friday for in-service.
In American Literature (both Thursday and Friday) we finished up our discussion of Washington Irving. We discussed "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and then "The Devil and Tom Walker". On Friday we took a quiz over the information.
In Law we had an interesting discussion about the law cases brought to class. I can only say that there are some idiots out there! We then continued with our discussion of the Bill of Rights.
