Yippee! It's Friday. Although I'm still sitting at school at 5:30 PM.
In English 10 we had quite an entertaining day with Demonstration Speeches. Some students try to "wing" a speech, and they're finding out that it just doesn't work. The problem I'm seeing is that they're not figuring it out fast enough. We'll be starting our next round of speeches very soon, so it's important to search out those topics.
In American Government we focused on federalism and the waltz between our federal and State governments. We took a few notes, completed a worksheet, and finished with what should have been an easy check (grade). If you were absent, you need to come in and get that check made up.
In Literature 9 it was all about "The Most Dangerous Game." We took a check on Moodle, and then in groups of three we completed questions reviewing the key plot details. Remember if you want to retake your Elements of Fiction Quiz and/or "The Lady or the Tiger" check, you can, but those two assignments are going to close very soon.
Hope everyone has a good (and WARM) weekend.
