I was here for only two periods today, but Mr. Meester had things well in hand! Thank you Mr. Meester for stepping in!
In Literature 9 they reviewed their EXPAND YOUR VOCABULARY. After that, Mr. Meester distributed a vocabulary lesson to be completed. It looked like everyone got close to completed, and we'll finish up tomorrow. We will take a quiz over "The Leap" and "The Sniper" on Thursday.
In English 10 - the one class I was back for - Everyone watched yesterday's grammar video and completed the worksheet on Predicate Adjective and Predicate Nominatives. We then had a some fun with a Tongue Twister Contest. It took four rounds to declare a winner in seventh hour, but congratulations to Caleb Burdsall (6th Hour Champion) and Caleb Terhark in 7th Hour. Wait...is there some kind of DNA thing with people named Caleb??? We then took a few notes on Physical Delivery. We started our Marking Key for marking our scripts for reading. Everyone is supposed to mark their scripts for emphasis as well as complete the worksheet.
In American Literature vocabulary teams reviewed the words related to probability. They played (I think) Roll On, Vocabulary, Roll On. After eight minutes of reviewing and playing, everyone then completed a vocabulary lesson (individually). At the end of the class period, they had time to team up for any questions they may have had. There will be a quiz over the six Puritan principles, William Bradford, Edward Winslow, and the Children's literature on Thursday.
We had great news at the doctor's visit today, and I'm feeling very (VERY) happy! So everyone have a great Tuesday.
