The last two days of the week were dedicated to ITED's. Most of my classes were split, so the afternoon classes had the luxury of working on assignments in-class.
In English 10 both days were dedicated to preparing and rehearsing for their demonstration speeches. I know with a Monday due date that many are waiting until the last minute to get things completed. This speech is worth a lot of points (125 points), so procrastination is NOT in anyone's best interest.
Literature 9 is the one course that actually met somewhat frequently. On Thursday I was out with the matinee. The remaining class members answered a few discussion questions. Then they completed a packet that revolved around the them "What does it mean to be human?" We then took a reading check over "The Lady or the Tiger" on Thursday. I know most of the kids read it, but when questions are put into a different format, they seem to struggle. There are always second chances.
In American Literature (which met on Friday as well) they had the opportunity to work on their resumes. Unfortunately third hour didn't get this privilege. They will have it on Tuesday as we're missing class again for the Veteran's Day program. The rough draft for this project will be due on Friday of next week.
