I overheard someone say that we've almost finished our third week of school. I stopped, I thought, and I panicked! We have almost finished our third week of school.
In Literature 9 we reviewed what kind of prey Rainsford would be. We know he's athletic, intelligent, clever, quick on his feet, moral, and cool under pressure. General Zaroff might have a prey that he can't defeat. We read part of the story aloud and will finish it tomorrow (along with a reading check). We also had time to go over the rest of the vocabulary words related to this story.
In English 10 we watched some meaningful conversations between Mr. Rogers and Jeff Erlinger. It was wonderful to see all the qualities rolled up into one example. We played a little Kahoot to study for tomorrow's test. Finally we discussed the 93% of all communication is done without saying a word!
In American Literature we watched a short video giving us a tour of Plymouth Plantation. Then we worked in our vocabulary groups for about 10 minutes. We then moved onto William Bradford's journal. Everyone then took a check over the reading. Some people really struggled, but I think the more primary documents we read, the easier it will get.
The weekend is almost here! Good luck to the volleyball teams.
