What a day! I don't think I sat down until I got home at 5:00 this afternoon. Those days do go by fast, but my ankles were swollen.
In Literature 9 we finished our test and got a little reading in. "You never really understand a person until you consider things from this point of view...until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." We used this as a kick -off to describing someone by looking at various shoes. Everyone was divided into groups and then given a pre-reading research project. Everyone should complete about 13 points. You will have until Friday to complete your Google slides.
In English 10 we had our final day of panel discussions. I was so pleased with the quality of information presented and the discussion that occurred after. Remember to complete your Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt before class on Wednesday.
In American Literature everyone chose an Emerson quote from a worksheet provided and created a two-slide power point. The first slide should include the quote and an illustration. Do NOT image search the quote as I want what you feel is a good illustration. The second slide would be an explanation of how this quote and illustration incorporates Transcendental philosophy (pg. 48 in your notebook). Then we took a look at our silent discussion. On the reverse side of our discussion were some references to Transcendentalism (Whitman, more Emerson, a little Thoreau, etc.) Be sure to get your reading in this weekend.
In Law, we discussed the death penalty quite extensively. Then we worked on our notes - the rights and privileges guaranteed in the 5th and 6th Amendments. Hopefully, we can finish things up next week.
Have a wonderful Easter everyone!
