Another day, another ____. You fill in the blank. Hopefully your "blank" is only all the good things that blesses your life.
In Literature 9 we discussed the first nine pages of "The Most Dangerous Game". I feel, by the discussion first hour, that this story is (was) quite popular. We also reviewed the vocabulary words associated with this story. Rather than completing a story map, we're answering some specific reading comprehension questions.
In English 10 we reviewed the main concepts, objectives, and terms related to informative speaking. Through the discussion, I feel like there was some substantial learning going on. Then it was time for the test. I didn't see to much smoke, so I'm thinking it went o.k. I guess only time will tell.
In American Government we uploaded our Separation of Powers presentation. Then we took a quick quiz. People finished very quickly, so maybe there was learning here as well. We then began our discussion of the Amendment Process. It is truly remarkable that we only have 27 amendments after nearly 230+ years of a Constitution. Our Founding Fathers knew the amendment process was necessary, so there is a process in place, but the informal amending process is faster, easier, and more temporary.
Have a happy Wednesday! Stay warm. It's supposed to be a balmy 28 degrees tomorrow.
