Back at school, but exhausted most of the day. I do have to admit that as the day progressed I did begin to feel better. Hopefully most students were excited to see my return...hmmm, probably not.
In English 10 (8th hour) we finished up our persuasion notes. We then created a form to determine if the audience is positive, neutral, disinterested, or opposed. This survey needs four questions. Monday we will review the forms to determine what kind of audience each will face. Be ready to start presenting on Monday.
In Literature 9 (7th hour) we reviewed symbols used in "The Scarlet Ibis". We didn't get too far into "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". We will begin with that story on Monday. We're really close to finishing up our short story unit.
In American Government we had a Congressional Leader's Dinner Party. For Monday, read Chapter 5-2 and complete the guided reading.
In Law we basically discussed articles related to law. We discussed the Alex Hernandez case, a stabbing in Storm Lake, rights for monkeys, dolphins, and/or whales, and so much more. A great discussion day!
