I am so frustrated right now. I post my grades and I am trying to be as diligent as possible, but then to have technology prevent you from completing your task is infuriating. Deep breaths - Count to 10 - and any other stress relieving techniques is greatly appreciated.
In Literature 9 we finished discussing hyperbole. We made a quick power point slide with an example of hyperbole and completed a museum walk. Then we finished reading the play "Trifles". It prompted some strong philosophical questions - always good on a Friday. Students turned in their set designs, and I have to say we have some amazing artists! We're taking a unit test over Drama on Tuesday, so I distributed a study guide.
In English 10 we created a notecard to be used on with our Parts of Speech test. I hope it helps. Then we discussed the purpose of parallel structure with the main points of our speech. We reviewed the importance of rehearsal, and the rest of the classtime was spent researching and writing our informative speeches.
In American Literature we finished our highly philosophical discussion of transcendentalism and individuality. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau provided some unique insight into non-conformity. We will complete our discussion of them and their impact on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!
