It's always good to go to All-State, but to be honest, I just love being in my classroom and interacting with you all.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of Chapter 8. We reviewed the vocabulary words for Chapter 9. Then we looked at the map and the information we've been compiling. Most maps were correct. Then I read the first few pages of Chapter 9. We're introduced to some new characters - Tom Robinson, Aunt Alexandra, Uncle Jack, and Uncle Jimmy. Everyone is supposed to read Chapter 9 for tomorrow.
In English 10 we finished reading Act II, Scene 2 (Finally!). It was kind of fun to go to the auditorium, have Romeos on the main floor of the auditorium and the Juliet was in the last row of the auditorium. As the scene progressed, we talked about the blocking and the development of the conversation. Tomorrow we will finish up our discussion with an analysis of Shakespeare's figurative language.
In American Literature we had the "pleasure" of finishing the book. Why? It's always a question that I have when I read this book. We took a chapter check. This check is more sentences and paragraphs. Then we discussed John Steinbeck's style, symbols, and themes. Our unit test is on Thursday.
In Law we finished our discussion of our criminal packet. We tried to review by using Jeopardy. but some of the game wasn't complete. I distributed a Seek-N-Find puzzle in preparation for tomorrow's test.
An interesting day to say the least.
