I must have forgotten to post Friday's blog, and for that I apologize. We'll pray that this "old" memory remains in tact as I try to remember what we did last week.
In Literature 9 we took our final check (Chapter 28). Then we began to read the ending of the book (Chapter 29-31). As we read we discussed the unique style of Harper Lee. As homework, everyone is supposed to work on Kohlberg's Moral Development. We did a couple of the characters together.
In English 10 it was all about the final test in Romeo and Juliet. This is a long test and I know we'll have to finish it up on Monday. Everyone should be working hard on their final projects.
In American Literature it was all about Mark Twain. But first we took a check over Romanticism and Realism, along with 10 questions about the life of Mark Twain. Then we started our study about Huckleberry Finn. Ernest Hemingway once said that all American Literature began with that book - primarily because it shared the language of the Mississippi. We will finish that up on Tuesday along with the study of the dialect of that region.
In Law we are studying Torts. Not the most exciting thing, but it's where we learn what and who we can sue. Since many of us will be at some time involved in a conflict with someone else, it's nice to know our rights.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to see all my grandchildren and my children. It was a glorious weekend!
