Accies continued their pre-season programme with a comfortable victory, albeit by a single goal, down at Shielfield on Thursday evening. Goals by James Grady and Brian Easton had Accies two up at the break and a second half goal by Paul McLeod proved to be the winner after a fightback by the home side. Grady nodded home from close range in the 34th minute and big Eastie made it 2-0 just on half time with an angled and low left foot drive from 14 yards.

A number of the youths came on in the second half and Paul McLeod drilled a fine goal home after a good move in the 72nd minute. Berwick, who had former Accies Darren Gribben and Stuart Callaghan playing, pulled two goals back in the 75th and 78th minutes and despite chances at both ends there was no more scoring.

Accies lined up; Murdoch, Evans, Easton, Gillespie (Collins 64) , Trialist (McQueen 45), Swailes, Grady (Mills 70), Trialist (Trialist 58 ), Trialist (McLeod 58 ), Stevenson (Connolly 73) and Corcoran (Lindsay 70). Unused sub McLachlan.

Two of tonight's trialists have now returned back and wont figure again.
