Overview

Hugh Crawford Shaw was Uddingston born on 31st July 1879 and built up a reputation as a fine amateur. Noted as an outside right he joined Queen’s Park in March 1903 and a year later he appeared for Accies and while there he was played in a more central position.

In September 1905 he moved to Albion Rovers and then a month later he went to Rangers and while at Ibrox turned out against his next club, Celtic, this was in February 1906. A month later he was on Kilmarnock’s roll of players, on loan, and finally he went back to Albion Rovers in September 1906. He was also a fine cricketer with Uddingston.

Debut on 25th March 1904 in a Scottish League match which was played at Hamilton against Abercorn although officially their home fixture.
