Overview

Had seen service with Bristol City and Morton, and then reverted to Drumchapel Amateurs. Eric Smith had seen enough of his ability at Greenock to encourage him to sign as a senior once more.

A versatile player, he could play in any of the front positions. His final game was three years almost to the day, after his debut. Always wore his hair long. Prior to going to Bristol he had been a much sought after youngster while with Fairholm. Capped on 4 occasions as a schoolboy while at Kingsridge Secondary in Glasgow.

Debut on 30th December 1972 in a Scottish League match at home to Forfar Athletic which Accies won 4-0.
