GREENHORN, Willie (1917)

Overview

A young outside left signed from Bellshill Athletic, though based in Maryhill. This was in 1917. In his season at Douglas Park, he turned in some good performances with some clever wing play.

He joined Ayr United on 2nd November 1918. By 1919 he was in the colours of Johnstone. From there in April 1921 he moved to Renton. Apparently when he was in the juniors he was nicknamed “Nipper”.
