Overview

“Jinky” was a firm favourite with the Douglas Park regulars with his swashbuckling style in the middle line of the team. One of the side which picked up a Lanarkshire Cup winners medal in 1903.

Signed by Middlesboro' on 13th May 1903 for a fee of £120. He received a £10 signing on fee and was to be paid £2.50 per week in the close season and £3.50 when playing. Signed by Bradford City the following season. He returned to Scotland to Royal Albert. His next move took him to Swindon.

Debut on 17th August 1901 in a Scottish League match at home to Port Glasgow Athletic.
