BROWN, Thomson (1958)
Overview
Signed as a full back when he arrived at Douglas Park in 1958 from Carstairs Juveniles, he was then farmed out to Lanark United. He was chosen to play for Lanarkshire Schools against Ayrshire Schools in 1957 in a trial match for the Scottish Schools side and as a result was a Schools Internationalist, while at Lanark Grammar in 1958, and also a Youth Internationalist.
He was also played at centre forward by Accies where he had limited success. Just over a year after joining the club he was freed. Later employed with Philips in Hamilton.
Debut on 20th August 1958 in a Scottish League match away to Cowdenbeath in which Accies recorded a 6-0 win.
