Overview
From the Craigneuk (Wishaw) district where he had been playing in the Juvenile ranks. When the club reintroduced a reserve side in 1928, he showed up well at centre half and when Pat Hunt moved to Burnley, he was brought into the side. It was said that he had a creditable debut. Made a couple of appearances at centre half and another two at left half without making a name for himself. On leaving Accies in 1928 he joined Rotherham United.
Debut on 24th November 1928 in a Scottish League match at home to Queen’s Park.
