CASSIDY, John (1938)

Overview

Came from Mossend Celtic on 26th October 1937. Like so many other young players the war intervened and priorities changed somewhat. He turned out at inside right on both his official League fixtures before the break in the competition.

In November 1941 Rangers asked for him on a short term loan along with Tom Jarvie. The majority of his games for the club were in the early years of the war. He was used as a guest in May 1943 by Hibernian as well as Albion Rovers. By September he was at Charlton Athletic.

Debut on 26th March 1938 in a Scottish League match away to Aberdeen.
