STEWART, William (1913)

Overview

Signed from Bent Royal Oak in 1913, he was a young man who showed a lot of talent in the matches he appeared in mainly at inside forward, those who had been around the game felt that what he needed was a little more steel in his play.

He was less than two years with Accies and was transferred to Motherwell in September 1914 and also assisted Royal Albert later in 1914 and also in 1915. When the war came he joined the Scottish Horse Regiment in July 1915.

Debut on 20th September 1913 in a Scottish League match away to St Mirren.
