Overview

A young goalkeeper, he was introduced while with Hamilton Amateurs, who played some of their home games at Douglas Park and they were regarded as a nursery side for the club. He was ideally built for the position as he was 6 feet tall and weighed 12 stones. Signed in 1961, he spent two years at Hamilton before stepping down a grade to Muirkirk Juniors. He later went to Blantyre Vics.

Debut on 8th April 1961 in a Scottish League match at Alloa which was won 3-2 by Accies.
