FRAME, William (1900)

Overview

Came to Douglas Park as an inside forward from junior combine, Cadzow Oak in 1900 and made a promising start with a goal in Accies 3-2 win at Leith. He played in his early outings at inside but after two seasons he was forced to play at outside right to get a game. This ended when Finlay McLean was signed and Mr Frame left the club.

Success was achieved in the 1902 Lanarkshire Cup Final when he scored one of the three Accies goals and he was presented with a winners medal after having played in the losing side in the previous years final.

Debut on 1st December 1900 in a Scottish League match away to Leith Athletic in which he scored.
