BURNSIDE, Robert (1964)

Overview

Could play on either of the wing positions, a local boy, he was signed from Hamilton Amateurs. Had been on Rangers staff for a time. Played during the promotion winning 1964-65 season. Had shown promise as an amateur but didn't develop as expected. He went to Petershill on leaving Douglas Park.

Debut on 8th August 1964 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to Stranraer which finished 2-2.
