LETHAM, Crawford (1926)

Overview

Brought to the club in 1926 from Cowdenbeath. His position was right half and though it was said after his initial outing that he was on the slow, the pluses were that he was a good passer of the ball and was not afraid to shoot.

Before going to Central Park he had played for Midlothian junior side, Dalkeith Thistle, then Dundee where he made his debut for them on 9th September 1922. At the close of the 1924-25 season, Cowdenbeath achieved their highest ever placing in the Scottish League, fifth, and Crawford was the regular right half at that time.

Debut on 6th November 1926 in a Scottish League match at home to Morton.
