Overview

An inside forward who was signed from South Shields on the recommendation of fellow Englishman, Irvine Thornley. He had also seen service with Wallsend, North Shields Athletic, Jarrow and Lincoln City before being signed in May 1914 by Swindon. He managed only a season at Douglas Park before going back south. He returned to England with a Lanarkshire Cup winners medal in his possession as he was in the side which beat Albion Rovers in the 1920 Final. He was yet another who came from Hebburn to play for Accies, he was born there in 1888.

Debut on 11th October 1919 in a Scottish League match against Third Lanark at Cathkin Park.
