Accies Career

Overview

A former Celtic player who was signed by Jimmy McStay in 1949. He played a couple of matches at inside forward, but wasn't any better than the players already at Douglas Park, so he was released. He had been at Parkhead from 1944 when he was taken there from Mossend Boys Guild. When released by Accies in 1950 he applied for reinstatement to Lanark United and it was granted.

Debut in a Scottish League Cup tie on 13th August 1949 at home to Forfar Athletic which was lost 1-0.
