McBRIDE, Eddie (1912)

Overview

Eddie was a clever inside forward, just the type that the club were seeking as they sought to bring young blood into the scheme of things at Douglas Park in 1912 as the previous years Cup Final side was beginning to show some wear.

He was signed from Kilbirnie Ladeside and during the next twelve months his was one of the first names on the teamsheet. With the club not making the progress hoped for, older hands were signed and Eddie was out.

Debut on 16th March 1912 in a Scottish League match away to Third Lanark.
