Overview

A tall striker, he was playing in the Fife Junior League with Crossgates Primrose and then Lochgelly Albert when Raith Rovers had him at Stark’s Park in August 1987. Heart of Midlothian took him to Tynecastle in October 1991 for a £100,000 transfer fee. Two years later the fee plus £10,000 saw him moving to Perth. Joined Ayr United on Saturday 23rd August 1997, and scored after 2 minutes on his debut, from St Johnstone. Then Livingston on loan before joining Morton in season 1999-00.

He arrived at Hamilton on October 1999 from Morton and scored at Dumfries in his second outing before in the last minute being sent off. Freed in 2000 he signed for Forfar Athletic. From there he went to Stenhousemuir in 2001. The next year he was wearing the colours of Berwick Rangers whom he joined in May 2002.

He was allowed to move at the January transfer deadline and he decided to drop a grade and sign for Bo’ness United in the East Region. In 2003 he went back to Fife where he played for Rosyth Juniors.
