BAILEY, John (2003)

Overview

Came on loan from Preston North End in August 2003 until the end of the year. Manchester born on 2nd July 1984, he was signed from school by the Deepdale club. A former England Youth cap. He was a small built midfielder who played quite well in his few Accies outings before returning to England.

On his release from Preston he played trials with Bury, Yeovil Town and Tranmere Rovers without being offered a contract by any of them by March 2004. In August he was playing in the Uni Bond League. It was reported in 2007 that he had been signed by Burscough and Marine.

Debut on 2nd September 2003 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to Albion Rovers which Accies won 3-2.
