WEIR, Hugh (1945)

Overview

He was playing as a wing half in 1942 with McDonald’s Works side. His fine displays attracted the juniors and he went to Blantyre Victoria. He later returned to the works eleven. Signed by Accies in 1945 from McDonald’s. When he was given a free transfer he chose to step down a grade to the juniors and he was signed by Coltness United in 1946.

Debut on 11th August 1945 in a Southern League match against Partick Thistle at home.
