Overview

On 21st May, 1960, fair haired Tommy, was a member of the victorious St Andrews United side which defeated Greenock Juniors in the Scottish Junior Cup final at Hampden, when he played at inside right. Not long after that he signed for Celtic. He never made it to their first eleven and he was released and joined Brechin City, where he shone.

Andy Paton brought him to Douglas Park at the commencement of season 1963-64, and in his first League match he scored, at home to Clyde. He never really found a level of consistency from there on and he was allowed to leave the club in 1964. He was also a winner in the Scottish Secondary Junior Cup with St Andrews Swifts in 1959.

Debut on 10th August 1963 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to St Johnstone which Accies lost 3-2.
