Accies Career

Overview

Best known as a centre forward with Morton with whom he played in the Scottish Cup final in April 1948. On Christmas Day of the same year he was wearing an Accies strip at Alloa in a 2-1 defeat. He had gone to Cappielow on a free transfer from Partick Thistle in 1945. When his loan spell expired Accies tried to sign him, but to no avail. A welder to trade.

Debut on Christmas Day 1948 away to Alloa Athletic in a Scottish League game which was lost 2-1.
