Overview

His displays on the right wing for Camelon Juniors earned him a cap for Scotland in 1961 and as a result Accies signed him to take over the mantel of Jim McLean who had gone to Clyde. Bobby did his best and despite some promising performances he was freed a year after coming to Hamilton and he returned to Camelon. He was actually a Motherwell signing from Grangemouth Welfare Juveniles on 3rd March 1956 but never appeared in the first team.

He was 5' 7" and his weight was 10 sts 7 lbs.

Debut on 12th August 1961 at Montrose in a Scottish League Cup tie which ended 2-2.
