From Sheffield Wednesday he arrived at Douglas Park in 1903 to fill the number 5 jersey. On his initial outing for Accies he appeared at centre half. In a friendly against Royal Albert in 1903 he played as a centre forward. He was not retained for the new season.

Debut 18th April 1903 in a Scottish League fixture away to Falkirk.
