Accies Career

Overview

Came to Accies from Crewe on the recommendation of John Crines who had seen him at Parkhead, where he had been based after a time with Portsmouth in 1963. Two years later he was with Brentford, before going to Crewe. A midfield performer who was tried during the 1969-70 term. When Tommy Ewing took over the reins he was released.

In 1999 he was a Councillor with Monklands District. Ten years later he was the North Lanarkshire Council leader.

Born in Glasgow on 11th June 1945.

Debut on 18th October 1969 in a Scottish League match at Stenhousemuir which was lost 3-1.
