WATSON, William (1930)

Overview

When “Puggy” Allan was not able to appear against St Mirren at Love Street this lad was brought into the side at right back, a solitary appearance for him. He came to Douglas Park from Carluke Rovers where he was a star in their strong side in 1929.

He went to St Cuthbert’s Wanderers on loan in April 1930 and while there he assisted them to the final of the Potts Cup which they won. Freed by Willie McAndrew in April 1937.

Debut on 18th February 1930 in a Scottish League match away to St Mirren.
