McGEE, Tommy (1937)

Overview

Joined the club on 17th August 1937 from Blantyre Victoria. Previously he appeared with Overton Athletic also in the junior grade. His opportunity to play for the club arose when Chris McNee was unavailable and Jimmy King reverted to the left wing beat and Tommy came in at outside right that day.

Given a free in April 1938, he moved on to Gillingham. Capped twice while a schoolboy in Glasgow during 1930 against Wales and Ireland at Under 14 level. Listed amongst his other clubs were St Roch’s, and Sheffield United. When the 1942-43 season opened he was an Ashfield Juniors player.

Debut on 16th October 1937 in a Scottish League match away to St Mirren.
