McEWAN, Frank (1942)

Overview

A war time player who had been attached to Tottenham Hotspur. He played twice at inside left in season 1941-42 and the next term he turned out at right half and then reverted to the inside position for his final appearance. He had gone from Whitburn Juniors to Airdrieonians and it was from the Broomfield club that he moved to White Hart Lane in November 1938.

Killed in action.

Debut on 1st January 1942 in a Southern League match at Motherwell.
