Overview

Received glowing press reports following his debut match at right back, he was a trialist plying his trade with Vale of Clyde at the time. Local reports stated that his energetic play made him a favourite. Willie McAndrew was never slow at introducing new faces at Hamilton in the war years.

Debut on 28th October 1944 in a Southern League fixture at home to Queen’s Park.
