Overview

He was with Leven Valley Juveniles before joining Yoker Athletic. Davie was brought from Holm Park to Hamilton in 1978 as a promising midfielder. Of small build, he never made the grade and was freed in 1980.

He then joined Vale of Leven, who had at that time a number of former Accies in their ranks under the guidance of John Filshie, who had also been at Douglas Park, appearing in the League Cup only.

Born in Helensburgh on 19th September 1959.

Debut on 1st March 1980 as a substitute away to St Johnstone in a Scottish League match which Accies won 1-0.
