Accies Career

Overview

A 1993 signing by Iain Munro, from Birmingham City. Paul never quite made it at Hamilton. A tall red head, who never seemed to make his height count in the defence where he performed.

He was released at his own request and returned to England and there he linked up with Northampton Town, scoring against Scarborough on his debut. He was freed by The Cobblers and played non-league thereafter.

Prior to joining Accies he had been with several English sides, one of whom, Leicester City, parted with £50,000 when they signed him from Carlisle United in July 1991. He had actually played against Accies for Carlisle in a closed door match in 1988, which Accies won by three Colin Harris goals to two.

In season 1998-99 he was with the Conference side, Forest Green, a year later he was said to interesting Barrow, Workington and Southport. He was Assistant Manager at Gresley Rovers in 1997 and Workington in 1999.

Born on 5th October 1965 in Liverpool.

Debut on 11th September 1993 in a Scottish League fixture away to Clyde which Accies lost 2-0.
