Accies Career

Overview

Ladeside was John's team before joining Accies in 1979. He was well built and could use his physique in his role as the main strike force. He was hard hit by injury and eventually left the club after a period of three years on the books. He had been with Duntocher Juveniles before going into the juniors. Also had a brief spell on Morton's staff, without appearing in the first team.

Born in Clydebank on 23rd June 1956.

Debut on 11th August 1979 in a Scottish League match at home to St Johnstone which finished 2-2. He came on as a substitute.
